About the Role:
The Route Sales Delivery position is a critical role responsible for ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products to customers while maintaining excellent customer service and fostering strong client relationships. This role involves managing assigned delivery routes efficiently, handling product inventory, and ensuring that all deliveries meet company standards for quality and safety. The successful candidate will act as the face of the company, representing its values and commitment to customer satisfaction during every interaction. Additionally, this role requires attention to detail in processing orders, collecting payments, and maintaining accurate delivery records. Ultimately, the Route Sales Delivery professional contributes directly to the company's sales growth and customer retention by providing reliable and friendly service.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid Class A driver's license with Air Brake endorsement with a clean driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in delivery, route sales, or a similar customer-facing role.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and carry heavy products safely.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with handheld delivery or point-of-sale technology.
- Knowledge of local geography and traffic patterns within assigned delivery areas.
- Customer service training or experience in a sales environment.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory management.
Responsibilities:
- Execute daily delivery routes to distribute products to customers in a timely and efficient manner.
- Verify delivery orders, load products onto the delivery vehicle, and ensure accurate order fulfillment.
- Engage with customers to provide excellent service, address inquiries, and resolve any delivery issues.
- Collect payments and maintain accurate records of transactions and deliveries.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintain cleanliness and safety standards of the delivery vehicle.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or customer feedback to management promptly.
- Assist in inventory management by tracking stock levels and reporting shortages or surpluses.
