Unique Schedule: This position is 7 days on / 7 days off (total of 56 hours per pay). Shift hours are 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm.
Sign On Bonus: $3,500 paid out over 2 years. Subject to applicable taxes and certain terms and conditions apply. UVMH employees are not eligible.
Relocation: a prorated relocation package is available to eligible candidates that are moving more than 120 miles. Certain terms and conditions apply.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Performs, calculates, reviews and reports laboratory diagnostic tests. Performs phlebotomy as needed. Maintains and troubleshoots laboratory equipment. Understands the clinical significance of the testing performed. Responsibilities for correction of procedural / instrument issues. Responsible for teaching, training and mentoring.
Note: this position is posted at a level II. Level is determined upon experience and candidate may come in at a level I which has a lower wage scale.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in biological science or chemistry. Medical Laboratory Scientist certified or certified in the field. If certificate qualified, certification to occur within 1 year of hire.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum experience – MLS internship completed.
