Resolve Crisis Services is looking for a Crisis Clinician II to join our training team!
Resolve Crisis Services is a partnership between UPMC Western Behavioral Health, Allegheny County, and Community Care Behavioral Health (CCBH). Resolve serves as the primary crisis services provider for Allegheny County and offers a full continuum of crisis care services for individuals experiencing behavioral health emergencies.
Our Crisis Clinician is eligible for up to a $5000 sign on bonus!
Candidates for this position may be required to work rotating shifts including holidays and weekends.
Under the direction of the Crisis Program Director. The focus of this position will be helping crisis staff onboard, orient, and develop as crisis professionals. This position supports staff in developing clinical skills, documentation skills, and professionalism. Additional responsibilities may include responding to mobile crisis calls from community professionals and persons within Allegheny County, via Mobile Crisis, Telephone Crisis, or Walk-In Crisis. This includes, but is not limited to, answering questions, obtaining clinical information and scheduling outpatient evaluations, and documentation of all duties previously mentioned.
Responsibilities:
· Supporting the onboarding of new crisis program staff.
· Supporting orientation for new crisis staff.
· Supporting record keeping for all training activities of the program.
· Ensuring that all staff complete annual mandatories required by the program and regulatory requirements.
· Providing live supervision for staff across all shifts and in all departments as needed.
· Developing trainings as the program requires.
· Providing trainings as the program requires.
· Manage shift caseload and daily clinical operations
· Gather and document clinical information in medical records
· Conduct face-to-face crisis assessments and case reviews
· Provide supportive counseling to promote consumer stability
· Respond to consumer, family, and community support calls
· Coordinate referrals, authorizations, and transition services
· Manage crisis situations and cross-shift coverage effectively
· Collaborate with Clin III on consultations and care planning
· Complete required documentation and quarterly reviews
· Participate in staff meetings and new clinician orientation
· Serve as lead clinician, overseeing shift functions and supporting clinical services
· Maintain an independent caseload while leading the shift as needed
Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling or Social Work with two years mental health direct care experience with one-year crisis experience
OR
Master’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling or Social Work with one year mental health direct care experience.
Other fields of study may be considered with coursework of at least 12 credits in human services and/or relevant mental health experience (Preferred other fields of study include: Social Work, Psychology, Gerontology, Sociology, Anthropology, Criminal Justice, Theology, Nursing, Counseling/Guidance, Education)
ATTENTION: A COPY OF YOUR BACHELOR’S OR MASTER'S TRANSCRIPTS MUST BE ATTACHED FOR CONSIDERATION.
Work history that includes phone triage, as well as an in-depth knowledge and proven skill at doing psychiatric assessments.
Experience in mental health crisis intervention, case management, or in-home therapy preferred.
Excellent, recovery-oriented interpersonal relations
Licensure in social work or professional counseling is preferred.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
· Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
· Comprehensive Crisis Management (CCMC)
· Driver's License
· Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
· Act 33 with renewal
· Act 34 with renewal
· Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
· OAPSA
