In this rewarding role, you'll support senior adults and individuals with intellectual disabilities by promoting independence, enhancing quality of life, and helping them remain active members of their communities. You'll provide hands-on assistance with activities of daily living (ADLS) while developing and facilitating engaging facility-based and community-based programming tailored to each individual's interests, strengths, and goals. You'll play a key role in teaching life skills, encouraging socialization, fostering community integration, and supporting opportunities for competitive integrated employment.

Key Information: 

  • Schedule: Monday- Friday, 8a-330p (Working Lunch)

  • Location: 230 5th Avenue, McKeesport

  • Parking: Lot on site for a minimal fee

  • Dress Code: Casual

Responsibilities:
 

  • Provide transportation & ensure consumer safety and well-being. 
  • Deliver individualized support and implement ISP goals. 
  • Facilitate community, employment, and skill building activities. 
  • Build positive relations with consumers, families, and partners. 
  • Maintain accurate documentation, compliance and required training. 

     

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • One (1) year experience working with individuals with disabilities.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must have a valid PA drivers license & meet the guidelines to be accepted on the agencys vehicle insurance policy.

    Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
     
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Comprehensive Crisis Management (CCMC)
  • Driver's License
  • Act 34
  • OAPSA
