The Union Hospital Imaging Department is currently recruiting for a Full-Time Radiologic Technologist to work at the UH Breast Center
PRICIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Content level expert of radiographic equipment and knowledge and proficiency to troubleshoot.
- Content level expert of radiology supported computer systems and CD burners.
- Performs diagnostic radiographic procedures and quality control as defined by department guidelines.
- Maintains compliance with local, state, and federal regulations in ACR and state licenses. Complies with Joint Commission regulations.
- Assists in the learning process of students and new staff in departmental procedures, quality control and radiation safety.
- Demonstrates problem solving skills, acts as liaison OP Imaging department, clinicians, nursing, and ancillary departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintains required credentials for CPR, critical skills, and mandatory in-service education.
- Performs other duties as required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a staff technologist.
- Requires technologist to be experienced in managing accreditations for ACR, MQSA .
- Completion of two-year accredited program in Radiologic Technology is required.
- Mammography certified when applicable (achieved within two years of hire – when applicable)
- State Licensure on Radiation Protection is required.
- CPR Certification
- An Associate’s degree is required; candidates are required to obtain their Associates of Science degree (can be substituted within a related field), within three (3) years of their start date as outlined in the Education Agreement required to be signed as a condition of employment.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- ARRT registered
- Maryland State License
- ARRT Mammography Registered if applicable - the successful completion of the Mammography Registration exam is a requirement for those performing mammography procedures. A technologist, who is recruited and non-certified, will have a grace period of 2 years following hire to pass this exam.

Hourly Pay Range: $32.77 - $52.43
This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
