Position Summary
We are looking for an accomplished Senior Structural Engineer (PE) with an approximate minimum of 15 years of experience in the design and analysis of prefabricated buildings, modular structures, and skid-mounted systems. This role is ideal for a seasoned engineer who brings deep technical expertise, strong judgment, and the ability to lead complex structural projects from concept through fabrication and installation. The successful candidate will serve as a technical authority, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, efficient, and fabrication-ready designs.

Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Structural Design:
  • Serve as a lead structural engineer for prefabricated buildings, modular units, and equipment skids across industrial, commercial, datacenter, and energy-sector projects.
  • Develop and validate structural concepts, ensuring designs meet performance, safety, and constructability requirements.
  • Perform advanced structural analysis using industry-standard tools, including nonlinear, dynamic, and vibration evaluations when required.
  • Design lifting systems, base frames, support structures, platforms, and transportation-rated assemblies.
  • Oversee load evaluations including wind, seismic, thermal, vibration, and transportation loads.
  • Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes and standards.
  • Coordinate with the fabrication/assembly teams for technical inquiries and support.
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering preferred, but applicable industry experience is just as valuable.
  • Active licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE), preferably Texas and New Mexico.
  • Approximately 15+ years of engineering experience with strong knowledge of fabrication and welding processes and QA/QC systems.
  • Highly knowledgeable of applicable codes, standards, and AHJ requirements (AISC, ASME, AWS, TDLR, etc.).
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication, technical, and documentation skills.
  • Highly proficient with developing and manipulating STAAD structural models, interpreting its calculations, and generating the associated reports.
  • Preferred: Highly proficient with AutoCAD for the development of structural design drawings and details
  • Preferred: Highly proficient with 3D modeling in Inventor or similar software.
