TRC is seeking a skilled Service Technician to support device testing, repair, and configuration for a tech-focused client in Norcross, GA.
 
Shift: 2nd
Pay rate: $17/hr
 
Position Overview:
This hands-on role plays a key part in maintaining service quality, minimizing downtime, and supporting efficient device processing.
 
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Identify issues with computers, laptops, and other related hardware, including problems with performance, software malfunctions, and hardware failures.
  • Repair or replace malfunctioning components, such as hard drives, memory, screens, and power supplies. Perform hardware upgrades, including adding RAM or upgrading processors.
  • Install, configure, and update operating systems, drivers, and applications. Resolve software-related issues and ensure that devices are running smoothly.
  • Inspect devices for damage or defects upon receipt to ensure that all incoming units are assessed for any issues before repairs begin.
  • Document repair issues and communicate with Project Leads.
  • Provide troubleshooting support for customers and end-users experiencing technical issues after device repairs.
  • Repackage and label repaired devices for shipping.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and follow process guidelines.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Previous experience in electronics repair or IT support preferred.
  • Comfortable working with handheld devices, hardware, and software.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical procedures.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Soldering experience is a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification a bonus.
  • Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to handle small parts and tools with precision.
  • Capable of lifting up to 30 lbs. as needed.
  • Comfortable working in a technology repair environment.
  • Must adhere to safety and operational protocols.
