Payroll Clerk

Processes payroll information on hourly employees to ensure accuracy in the Kronos Time System and to comply with the union labor contract. Maintains department hourly personnel records and provides Human Resources, Payroll, and various departments the changes in scheduled work time, job information, and employee demographic information.
· Maintains departmental records by recording job information, department numbers, labor distribution numbers, and employee demographic information, and documenting vacation, holidays, absences, and tardiness on individual employee records.
· Informs Payroll and Human Resources of changes in employees' job, shift, and/or pay status by communicating and preparing paperwork as necessary to resolve related issues by the established weekly payroll deadlines.
· Provides general office support by preparing memoranda, reports, distributing mail, answering telephone, maintaining files, and requisitioning cigarettes.
· Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
· High School Diploma / GED with 3+ years of Payroll work experience
· Must be 21 years of age or older
· Multi-company / multi-state environment
· Automated payroll systems
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint) and Microsoft Teams
