TRC Talent is looking for an Estimator located in Oxford, GA! 

Job Summary: The Rebar Estimator is responsible for interpreting construction drawings, performing quantity takeoffs, preparing detailed cost estimates, and coordinating approved projects with production and logistics. This position plays a key role in the preconstruction process — transforming blueprints into precise rebar requirements that keep projects on time and within budget.
 
Job Details: 
  • Schedule: Fully onsite, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM (with a one-hour lunch)

  • Location: Oxford, GA

  • Pay: $40K+ BOE
     

Job Responsibilities: 
  • Review and interpret structural, architectural, and civil drawings, including plan, section, and elevation views.

  • Perform rebar quantity takeoffs to calculate bar lengths, shapes, bends, and quantities required.

  • Input data and pricing into estimating software (Sheer97 – training provided).

  • Prepare formal proposals and bid packages by required deadlines.

  • Perform internal quality checks to confirm accuracy before submission.

  • Coordinate awarded jobs with production and logistics to ensure proper material preparation and delivery.

  • Maintain organized documentation for bids, change orders, and awarded projects.

  • Communicate with project managers and fabrication teams to clarify specifications and ensure alignment across departments.

  • Support cost tracking and job progress updates as needed.

  • Complete 2–3 detailed estimates per day depending on project complexity.

  • Double-check takeoffs, finalize proposals, and submit quotes to the bid coordinator.

  • Once projects are approved, assist production in verifying quantities and scheduling deliveries.
     

Job Requirements
  • Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and specifications.

  • Strong math and geometry skills (angles, slopes, bar shapes, and lengths).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer aptitude.

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in calculations.

  • Dependable, organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Prior estimating experience in rebar, concrete, or structural steel.

  • Knowledge of construction or fabrication processes.

  • Familiarity with takeoff or estimating software

  • Experience in construction materials supply or manufacturing environments.
