TRC Talent Solutions is partnering with a leading manufacturing organization located south of Atlanta, Georgia, to identify an experienced Industrial Engineer for a full-time, permanent opportunity. This position is 100% onsite and offers the opportunity to play a key role in optimizing manufacturing operations, improving productivity, reducing costs, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.
The Industrial Engineer will be responsible for analyzing, developing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes, material flow systems, warehouse operations, inventory management practices, and production support activities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of industrial engineering principles, lean manufacturing methodologies, logistics, process improvement, and operational excellence within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze manufacturing processes, workflows, and production systems to identify opportunities for increased efficiency, cost reduction, quality improvement, and throughput enhancement.
• Develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing process improvements that support operational goals related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Evaluate production methods, labor utilization, facility layouts, equipment utilization, and material handling processes to maximize operational performance.
• Design and improve warehouse management systems, inventory control processes, material flow strategies, and logistics operations to support manufacturing requirements.
• Collaborate with production, quality, maintenance, supply chain, logistics, and management teams to identify and resolve operational challenges.
• Review customer requirements and translate those requirements into effective manufacturing and operational processes that meet quality and delivery expectations.
• Develop and implement management control systems, process metrics, KPIs, and reporting tools used to monitor performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Analyze inventory levels, material replenishment methods, and supply chain processes to optimize throughput while minimizing costs and waste.
• Support production operations by identifying bottlenecks, reducing downtime, improving workflow efficiency, and enhancing overall manufacturing performance.
• Conduct time studies, process mapping, value stream mapping, capacity analysis, labor analysis, and workflow optimization projects.
• Utilize root cause analysis and structured problem-solving methodologies to identify process issues and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Lead and participate in cross-functional teams focused on process improvement, operational excellence, facility expansion, automation initiatives, and cost reduction projects.
• Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, process documentation, and training materials as needed.
• Evaluate the interaction between manufacturing systems, equipment, personnel, materials, and operational processes to understand how changes impact production outcomes.
• Support implementation of new equipment, manufacturing technologies, process improvements, and operational systems.
Qualifications:
-Bachelors degree in engineering.
-3+ years of experience.
-Ability to communicate effectively.
-Experience working on multidisciplinary teams.
-Creative problem solving skills.
