Position Overview

TRC Talent Solutions is seeking an experienced Concrete Superintendent to join our client's growing team in Southeast Michigan. This is a direct hire opportunity for a motivated construction professional with extensive experience leading commercial concrete projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who enjoys working in the field, managing crews, solving problems, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise field crews on commercial concrete construction projects.

  • Plan, organize, and coordinate daily jobsite activities to maximize productivity and efficiency.

  • Monitor project schedules and adjust manpower and resources to meet deadlines.

  • Identify field issues and implement practical solutions to minimize delays and maintain production goals

  • Train, mentor, and develop field personnel while promoting teamwork and accountability.

  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of company equipment and tools.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite throughout the duration of each project.

Qualifications

  • 7–10+ years of commercial concrete construction experience.

  • Previous experience supervising crews on commercial concrete projects.

  • Strong knowledge of:

    • Concrete placement and finishing techniques

    • Reinforcing steel

    • Site preparation

    • Layout and grading

    • Concrete curing methods

    • Equipment operation

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and project specifications.

  • Experience coordinating multiple crews, subcontractors, and project schedules.

  • Strong understanding of OSHA safety regulations and jobsite safety practices.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.

  • Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.

  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

  • Willingness to work overtime and occasional Saturdays as project demands require.

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday

  • Occasional Saturdays

  • Overtime available based on project needs
