Job Summary
The Process Technician will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of production processes in a solar panel manufacturing facility. This position focuses on optimizing production, monitoring equipment performance, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining high-quality standards while adhering to safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
Process Monitoring and Optimization:
Monitor production processes to ensure they operate within specified parameters.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve quality.
Conduct routine checks on equipment and processes to identify potential issues early.
Troubleshooting and Maintenance:
Diagnose and resolve process-related issues to minimize downtime.
Collaborate with maintenance teams to repair or replace faulty equipment.
Assist in setting up and calibrating machinery for production runs.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Collect and analyze data from manufacturing processes to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Prepare reports and documentation on process performance, downtime, and quality metrics.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure all products meet quality standards by conducting regular inspections and tests.
Work closely with the quality control team to resolve non-conformance issues.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory standards.
Participate in safety training and emergency drills.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, maintenance, and quality assurance, to support production goals.
Provide training and guidance to operators on process changes and equipment use.
Skills and Knowledge:
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodology is a plus.
Familiarity with safety and environmental standards in a manufacturing setting.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools.
Experience:
2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in solar panel production or a related industry.
