Job Overview:
We are seeking dependable and detail-oriented Equipment Technicians to support equipment maintenance operations in a solar panel manufacturing facility. Technicians in this role are crucial to ensuring the reliable operation of production equipment and minimizing downtime.
Schedule:
Training: Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM (up to 3 months)
After Training: 6PM-6:10AM on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule
Pay: $24.00/hr Base + $1.00 (Night shift Differential)
Key Responsibilities:
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on ingot manufacturing machinery and equipment.
Diagnose equipment failures, perform timely repairs, and restore operational stability.
Identify required parts, manage inventory levels, and request replacements as needed.
Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, repairs, parts usage, and equipment conditions.
Follow all safety regulations, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) guidelines, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Support troubleshooting efforts during production interruptions to help restore equipment quickly.
Collaborate with technicians, engineers, and production personnel to support continuous operation.
Participate in shift pass-downs to ensure seamless communication across incoming and outgoing shifts.
Assist with improvement activities aimed at increasing equipment reliability and reducing downtime.
Perform other duties as assigned by management to support departmental and operational goals.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical education in mechanical or electrical engineering is a plus.
Up to 5 years of experience in equipment or facilities maintenance.
Ability to read and analyze electrical and mechanical schematics.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Demonstrated leadership qualities and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in high-volume manufacturing (Solar, Semiconductor, or Automotive).
Experience maintaining automated equipment, CNC machinery, or PLC-controlled systems.
