About Our Unit:
Our Orthopedic nursing team provides compassionate, specialized care to patients with musculoskeletal conditions. We care for those undergoing total joint replacements, fracture repairs, and trauma-related surgeries, as well as patients recovering from gastric bypass, sleeve gastrectomy, and other medical-surgical procedures. Working closely with therapy services, we create a supportive environment that promotes rehabilitation, mobility, and independence.

As Mercy’s Innovation Unit, we pilot new ideas and technologies to enhance workflow, improve care, and elevate the patient experience-offering every caregiver the chance to help shape the future of nursing.

Position Details:

Orthopedic Nursing (Inpatient) | Mercy Hospital St Louis

Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Shift Differential Pay: Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends

Stay Pay Program - $2/hr on your productive time (24/7 bedside eligible position) at your 2, 5, 10, and 20 year anniversary at Mercy (up to $8/hr)

RN > BSN Bridge Program (up to $16,000)

Qualifications:

Required Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited school;

License: Must have either a current RN Temporary Permit/RN license in the State of Missouri

Certifications: Basic Life Support (CPR) certification through the American Heart Association
