Position Overview:
Seeking a detail-oriented Legal Assistant/Secretary to provide administrative support to litigation practice group. This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Core Responsibilities:
- Manage attorneys' calendars, including court dates, depositions, and meetings
- Process and file legal documents with courts via e-filing systems
- Handle attorney correspondence and communications
- Format and proofread legal documents and pleadings
- Schedule depositions and coordinate with court reporters
- Maintain case files and organize electronic documents
- Process incoming mail and handle time-sensitive materials
- Handle expense reports and billing entries
- Provide general administrative support as needed
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of litigation legal assistant/secretary experience
- Proficiency with e-filing systems and court procedures
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology and document formatting
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent attention to detail and proofreading abilities
- Superior organizational and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Professional demeanor and ability to handle confidential information
