We are currently seeking a dynamic, self-motivated, and experienced Workers Compensation Defense Attorney to join our prestigious legal team. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your skills in court, defense, depositions, case management, trial practice, and mediation. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of Workers Compensation Law and be ready to hit the ground running on complex cases. This is a permanent position that offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth and advancement in the legal industry.
Responsibilities:
As a Workers Compensation Defense Attorney, your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
1. Representing employers, insurance companies, and third-party administrators in workers compensation defense matters.
2. Conducting legal research and analysis of complex legal issues related to workers compensation law.
3. Preparing and presenting cases in court, depositions, mediations, and trials.
4. Drafting legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, motions, appeals, and settlement agreements.
5. Managing a high-volume caseload, ensuring all cases are handled efficiently and effectively.
6. Collaborating with legal staff and clients to develop case strategies.
7. Keeping abreast of legislative changes that may affect workers compensation law and advising clients accordingly.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, the candidate must possess the following qualifications:
1. Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in workers compensation defense.
4. Proven experience in court, depositions, case management, trial practice, and mediation.
5. Exceptional knowledge of Workers Compensation Law.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
