Department: Skilled Nursing (112 Beds), One Level Building on HealthPark Campus

Work Type:Full Time, (80 hours bi-weekly) Non-Exempt/Paid Hourly + Differential, as applicable ($3.00 p/hour evenings)

Shift: Evenings, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM (Monday - Friday) Flexible to meet patient and business needs

Some flexibility with evening hours (example: 12 PM to 9 PM)

Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate:$38.48 - $50.01 / hour

Summary

The Supervisor manages one or more defined areas of organized patient care services. Supervisors provide direction to patient care staff to promote safe quality patient care and nursing services in a professionally supportive environment on a continuous basis by ensuring consistent nursing standards guide the provision of nursing care. Responsible for directing and coordinating patient care// within their defined area of responsibility// through established standards subscribed by the American Nurses Association and in accordance with the Florida Nurse Practice Act. Performs responsibilities in five areas of nursing practice: clinician// teacher// researcher// leadership and professional development. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. Supports the organization vision and mission. Uses knowledge of patient's age and cultural diversity into the provision of patient care. Contributes to the provision of quality nursing care through excellence in customer service and performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care.

Requirements

Education:Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing. Bachelors degree in nursing or healthcare related field preferred.

Experience:Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required. Previous experience in Nursing Leadership preferred.

Certification:American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

License:Registered Nurse currently licensed in the State of Florida.

Other:Knowledge of current theoretical approaches to the delivery of nursing care. Ability to participate in developing and implementing organizational strategies to improve the delivery of care. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to demonstrate knowledge of finance to support the development and management of the budget plan. Certification in Nursing Administration or appropriate specialty.
