Responsible for working with management, end-users and other American Airlines team members to answer data related questions, address concerns, and coordinate enhancements to support cargo revenue accounting and corporate projects. You will be involved in data analysis/reporting, identifying issues, proposing solutions, coordinating and contributing to the implementation of proposed solutions.
The role is a part of the Finance team within our Finance group.
What you'll do
- This position will report to the manager of Cargo Revenue accounting. Duties to include but not limited to:
- Management of revenue and receivable for all postal administration accounts – including invoicing, payment application, discrepancy resolution
- Heavy contact with postal customers
- Audit of AA’s cargo billing portal on a weekly basis
- Reconciliation and application of payments received via 3 lockboxes that are not automatically applied
- Research and analysis into overpayment claims for customers paying by credit card
- Identification, analysis and capture of revenue not captured through normal channels
- Reporting, tracking, and managing system defects related to the iCargo system
- Back up to L3/L4 Analyst
- Ad hoc analysis and projects as assigned
All you'll need for success
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous accounting/finance experience
- Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects and deadlines concurrently and successfully
- Strong data mining skills as well as very strong skills in Microsoft Access and/or other database systems
- Team player with strong interpersonal, presentation and written communication ski
- Strong PC skills including Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint
- Strong Presentation skills
- Aptitude for problem solving with strong analytical and accounting skills
- Ability to logically structure analysis of complex issues and develop creative solutions to challenges
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field or equivalent experience/training
- Knowledge of Mosaic, Power BI, Tableau
- Experience with iCargo system
