Production Supervisor

Schedule: 5:45 PM – 6:00 AM | 2-2-3 Rotation (Must be able to train on day shift)
Location: Decatur, IN 46733
Salary: $65,000+ annually
- Lead and coordinate manufacturing operations to meet safety, quality, productivity, cost, and delivery goals
- Maintain an active presence on the production floor (50%+ of shift) to support employees and drive performance
- Supervise 18–30 production employees, including hiring, training, coaching, performance management, and corrective action
- Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate production plans, metrics, and company updates
- Attend Tier meetings, update visual boards, and report performance metrics to leadership
- Develop and execute training plans for new hires and ongoing employee development
- Identify production issues and implement timely corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and equipment operation procedures
- Create and adjust shift schedules based on production demands
- Maintain accurate shift reports, SPC data, and production documentation
- Ensure equipment readiness, material availability, and housekeeping standards
- Partner with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives
- Develop and coach Production Leads to oversee operations in the supervisor’s absence
- Support departmental budgets and business planning initiatives
- 5+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- 10+ years of overall manufacturing experience
- Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
- Proven ability to make independent decisions and manage priorities on night shift
- Experience with scheduling, staffing, training, and performance management
- Solid knowledge of production processes, equipment, and safety standards
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts on a 2-2-3 rotation
- Thermoforming or plastics manufacturing experience preferred
