Job Details
As a Construction Superintendent, you will play a crucial role in overseeing day-to-day operations on-site for commercial construction projects in the Dallas area. You will be responsible for managing schedules, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining safety and quality standards, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. This position requires hands-on leadership, effective communication with project teams and clients, and problem-solving skills to handle the dynamic challenges of commercial construction. Your expertise will contribute to sustaining our company’s high standards and reputation for excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage on-site construction activities ensuring adherence to plans, specifications, and schedules
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel
- Monitor project progress, enforce safety protocols, and maintain a safe work environment
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to address issues promptly
- Conduct regular inspections for quality control and compliance with specifications
- Manage documentation, including daily reports, logs, and progress updates
- Identify potential delays or risks and implement corrective actions
- Ensure adherence to budget and resource allocation
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of commercial construction management or superintendent experience (open to more senior candidates as well)
- Proven track record managing mid- to large-scale commercial projects, including industrial, retail, hospitality, healthcare, and/or multifamily
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, safety regulations, building codes, and project delivery methods
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Competency with construction management software and technology
