Salary: $80,000 - $135,000 per year

Our client is a well-established and growing MEP engineering firm located in Tampa, FL and their services include electrical engineering, lighting design, mechanical engineering, low voltage systems, renewable energy and commissioning. They have completed hundreds of projects for all types of buildings and facilities.

Job Details
- 10+ years’ experience
- Ability to perform detailed punch-list constituting construction observation reports
- Experience in reviewing submittals and responding to RFIs
- Ability to review work of others
- Performs Heat Gain calculations using Trane Trace, HAP and/or Elite load calculation software and can teach others
- Sizes and selects HVAC equipment
- Completes psychrometric analysis of dehumidification process
- Able to size and layout Mechanical equipment rooms
- Identifies chase requirements
- Proficient in air balancing analysis
- Proficient with HVAC equipment layouts
- Sizes and lays out HVAC ducts and can teach others
- Proficient with domestic water service and distribution piping
- Proficient at sizing sanitary waste and vent piping
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Revit
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as supervisor others to produce desired results
- Background in mechanical utilities (chilled water, compressed air, natural gas, plumbing, fire protection, HVAC, kitchen systems, areas of public assembly)
- Must be abreast of latest trends in mechanical engineering, ASRAE, Florida Energy Code, and NFPA
- Knowledge of IAQ is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- PE registration required
