Please DO NOT apply if you don't have these requirements:
Bachelor's degree or higher (healthcare or related field)
RRT Certification (active)
4 years of RRT experience (Registered Respiratory Therapist) including 2 years of clinical respiratory care
2 years of experience teaching in a CoARC accredited program
Completed the CoARC training program

Job Details
This is a permanent full-time position for a Program Director of Respiratory Therapy Program.
Schedule: M-F, 40-hours per week
Hours: 9a-5p (mix of hybrid, in-person, some remote)
Location: Dublin, OH
Salary: Pay is negotiable (based on candidates credentials, academic experience, practice experience, and degree)
Your performance responsibilities:
Oversees the structure and daily operation of the program, including organizations, administration, periodic review, and evaluation, continued development, and general effectiveness of program curricula.
Ensure the effectiveness of all clinical affiliates/clinical education centers is maintained.
Act as a liaison between the clinical agencies and the college maintaining open lines of communication with the Clinical Coordinator.
Maintain and encourage valid evaluation of each student by clinical instructor, department managers, staff, and students.
Ensure the program is viable and meets the standards of CoARC.
What were looking for:
Current or former Respiratory Therapy Program Director, Respiratory Care Program Chair, Director of Clinical Education (DCE), Respiratory Therapy Faculty, or Clinical Instructor
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT, NBRC) with a current Ohio respiratory care license, or eligibility for one
Master's or doctoral degree preferred (MSRC, MHA, MSEd, MBA, EdD, or PhD)
2+ years of teaching as appointed faculty in a CoARC-accredited respiratory care program, or as a clinical instructor or preceptor for one
Completed the CoARC Key Personnel Training Program, or able to complete it
Experience with CoARC accreditation, self-studies, the Annual Report of Current Status (RCS), and site visits
Clinical expertise in critical care, mechanical ventilation, ABG analysis, airway management, and pulmonary diagnostics
Specialty credentials a plus: ACCS, NPS, RPFT, or AE-C
Experience with curriculum development aligned to the NBRC TMC and CSE matrices, with competency assessment, and with simulation lab instruction
Experience with clinical tracking systems (Trajecsys or DataArc) and an LMS (Canvas or Blackboard)
Has built clinical affiliations with hospitals and long-term acute care facilities
Experience with program budgeting, faculty hiring, and advisory committees
Open to relocating to Columbus, OH
