Scope of Position:

Perform a variety of duties to set up and operate sheet metal fabrication equipment to perform stamping and forming operations on a variety of aluminum and steel gauges following standard practices and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Sets up, maintains and operates various sheet metal fabricating machinery, including but not limited to a Punch Press and Louver
Performs various production duties from Work Orders, Part Prints, Standard Set- up Procedures, Quality and OJT manuals.
Utilizes and maintains calipers, rules, combination square, protractor, vernier, feeder gauges, hand tools, wrenches, micrometers, hex keys and other similar tools.
Inspect and prepare supplied products, reports defects/problems to supervision.
Removes and inspects finished products for compliance to specifications, reports defects to supervision and makes machine adjustments as directed.
Uses lift and/or platform trucks to move supplied and finished products to various plant locations.
Maintains required production, safety and other records and data.
Inspects and reports defective and unsafe machinery/parts to supervision.
Wears and maintains safety equipment and obeys safety rules, practices and procedures.
Maintains work area in a neat, orderly and safe manner.
Performs other similar or related duties as required or requested.

The Residential Products Fabricator must possess the minimum knowledge/abilities as listed below:

High School graduate preferred.
Prior manufacturing experience a plus
Ability to read, write and follow both verbal and written instruction.
Familiarity with manufacturing machinery, hand and air tools and measuring instruments.
Ability to operate lift, hand, platform trucks and hoists.
Capability of lifting 50 pounds unassisted on a regular basis
Ability to lift between 50 & 100 pounds intermittently in a team lift situation.
Ability to do repetitive lifting, bending, reaching, twisting, stretching, pushing and pulling.
Previous experience with a Punch Press and/or Louver
