Shift: 1st Shift (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM; OT as needed)
Position Summary
TRULITE is seeking a CNC Machine Operator II to operate CMS machinery used in glass fabrication and production. This position is responsible for operating CNC equipment, selecting and utilizing machine programs, performing preventative maintenance, and safely handling glass materials throughout the manufacturing process.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
- Operate CMS CNC machinery and water jet equipment to fabricate glass products to customer specifications
- • Select and run appropriate machine programs for production needs
- • Assist with machine setup, adjustments, and preventative maintenance
- • Use hoists and suction cranes to safely move and transport glass materials
- • Perform quality inspections and maintain production and quality logs
- • Strap and secure glass materials to carts and trucks for safe movement
- • Move glass materials from tables, furnaces, rolling racks, delivery trucks, and crates throughout the shift
- • Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety policies and PPE requirements
- • Complete daily equipment and area inspections for safety and operational concerns
- Previous CNC machine operating experience required
- CMS machine experience preferred
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and machine programs preferred
- Programming knowledge is helpful, but candidates will not be responsible for creating programs from scratch
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure (tape measure test required during interview)
- Experience using hoists, suction cranes, or material handling equipment preferred
- Ability to stand for long periods and work in a physically demanding environment
- Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing facility
- Ability to wear extensive PPE including chaps, smocks, gloves, steel toe shoes, and turtlenecks
- Strong attendance, reliability, and teamwork are required
- Lift up to 75 lbs independently and 150 lbs with assistance
- Push/pull materials over 150 lbs with a team
- Stand for extended periods
